Pie crust:
Thaw pie crust for 10-20 minutes.
Prick the crust with a fork on the bottom and sides thoroughly.
Bake directly on the oven rack for 10-13 minutes or until brown.
Put mixture in microwave for 3 minutes. Take out and stir. Place back in microwave for 2 minutes. Take out and stir. Put in microwave for 2 minutes and take out and check consistency. If it looks like pudding, add the butter and vanilla.
Let your pie cool in the fridge, then add your Cool Whip when your ready to eat!
